The day

Order of the day

Cornish weather has opinions — we'll move indoors if it rains. Everything starts and ends in one place, just follow the candles.

14:00

The ceremony

In the orchard, under the lime tree, thirty minutes of I-dos and maybe a tear. Please arrive by 13:30 — the gates close during the vows.

14:45

Drinks & photographs

Champagne (or elderflower) in the walled garden while Luis's brother does his worst with the camera.

17:00

Dinner in the barn

Three courses from a family friend who runs a tiny kitchen in Truro. Speeches between pudding and coffee.

20:30

Dancing

A band of three, a DJ after. There will be a chocolate table. There may be a conga.

01:00

Last dance, last bus

Transport laid on back to Fowey and St Austell — see travel below.

The venue

Trevennen Barn

Lanteglos-by-Fowey

An old stone barn, a small orchard, and a view all the way to the sea.

Trevennen sits between Fowey and Polruan — an eight-hundred-year-old barn surrounded by apple trees and a few mildly curious sheep. There's room for all of us.
